Systema Obscura is a focused software development operation built around the idea that great software doesn’t require a large organization. It requires the right people working with clear intent.

We design and build software across three domains: WordPress and WooCommerce plugins, mobile applications for iOS and Android, and the backend infrastructure that makes them work at scale. Our in-house software is available for licence directly through this site. For custom work, we take on contract projects through our professional services practice.

How We Work

We operate as a tight core with access to a vetted bench of specialists for projects that need additional depth. The result is the accountability of a solo practice with the capacity of a small firm. Every engagement is led personally. You deal with the same person from brief to delivery.

Most projects begin with a scoping conversation to establish requirements, timeline, and pricing. We work on a project basis and are selective about the work we take on, because doing it well matters more than doing a lot of it.
